The Sunday after Easter is the Feast of Divine Mercy. Our Lord told St. Faustina, “On this day, the very depths of My tender Mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.” To prepare properly for this feast we should (1) Ask for God’s Mercy (2) Be Merciful to Others (3)Completely Trust in Jesus. Jesus further asked that this Feast be preceded by a Novena to the Divine Mercy from Good Friday to the following Saturday. We will pray the Novena prayers and Chaplet of Divine Mercy immediately after Mass each day. Copies of the Novena are available at the back of church for use at home by families. Let us prepare ourselves to receive fully the abundant graces God wishes to give us.
There will be Penitential Service on Monday, March 23, at 7:00 p.m., in Rockne, on Wednesday, March 25, at 7:00 p.m. in Smithville and on Thursday, March 26, at 7:00 p.m., in Lockhart.
The Easter Egg Hunt for all children will be next Sunday, March 29, at 2:00 p.m., at Hilbig Park, at 4065 FM 535, just north of the Church. The CCE 7 – 12 grade students and Catholic Life Insurance, Branch 12, will be hosting the event. Parents bring your children and grandchildren, join the fun, and visit with the Easter bunny. Students are asked to come at 1:30 p.m. to help hide the eggs.
Holtman Hall was built and is maintained by registered and contributing members of the Parish Community. The facilities are designed to minister to the spiritual and social needs of the parish, but are also made available to non-parishioners.

Our church is hosting a blood drive on January 4th from 9am to 1pm in the parking lot. We need to have at least 26 donors. To donate you must be 17 or older, in good general health, over 115 lbs and have a valid drivers license. Diocesan Middle School Youth Rally (grades 6 – 8) will be October 18, at St. Michael Catholic Academy, in Austin. The event runs 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Information will be sent home from Religious Education classes. The registration forms must be turned in to Jackie May by October 14.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA Process) or convert instructions is an invitation for any Catholic who is in need of to complete the Sacraments of Initiation – First Communion or Sacrament of Confirmation. We will begin Sunday, September 7, at 9:00 a.m., in Holtman Hall.
Sacred Heart of Rockne will be offering “A Quick Journey Through The Bible” as an adult education course this fall. The 8 week class will be held on Sunday mornings (9:15 – 10:15 a.m.) and Wednesday nights (7:30 – 8:30 p.m.) during Religious Education class times. The same class will be held Sunday and Wednesday nights; you can attend one or the other, the same material will be covered.
